Abstract

Robotization has fundamentally altered job structures in the packaging industry, requiring organizations to design more adaptive talent management strategies. This study analyzes the role of talent management in building a Future Organization within the packaging industry amid robotization, and further develops a proposed competency-based talent management scheme as a practical contribution. A qualitative approach with a single case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight participants comprising an HR manager, a production manager, quality control supervisors, and production operators, supported by field observation and a review of human resource policy documents. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis following the Braun and Clarke approach. Four major themes emerged: changes in job structure, the emergence of technical and non-technical skill gaps, talent management as a strategic response, and its contribution to organizational future readiness. Based on a synthesis of these findings, the study also develops a competency-based talent management scheme structured as a twelve-stage cycle with a twelve-month implementation roadmap. The study concludes that a Future Organization does not emerge automatically from technological investment, but depends on organizations' consistency in aligning technological transformation with measurable and sustained workforce readiness.
